Chicken pox

It's all his fault! I was not supposed to get it. I even took the 1500 bucks vaccine! So did my sister.. sigh..

It all started when we came back from our trip to Pondicherry. Beautiful place, if you know where to go and what to do. Getting lost is quite probable if you don't ask for directions. Anyway, Tarang had just recovered from chicken pox, or so the doc told us. So we decided to travel with him sitting right in the middle of the back seat, so that me and my sis could get the window seats.
We had a fun time in Pondicherry. Ate a lot of good food.. that's all that matters. When we came back, I had a slight headache and a few mosquito-bite type marks on my hand. I panicked and ran into mom's room.

"Mommy look!! I have chicken pox!"
She just waved her hand in disinterest and said "No you don't have chicken pox. It's just a mosquito bite"

Ok.. that was a relief. My mom herself has never had the pox before.. How does she know that this really isn't THE pox?? hmm..

The next day there were more 'mosquito bites' on my back and neck. I didn't panic this time. After all these were just mosquito bites.

I went to office. The day was going to be just like any other day. Lots of work. But it was different. I felt really feverish and wanted to rush back home (well that's not something new). I came home, had one crocin, and slept for some time. In the evening I was feeling much better. So my mom was right. It was only mosquito bite, which for no reason, were multiplying.
Next morning, finally my mom gave in. We went to see the doctor, and she confirmed that it was indeed THE pox!

I have been at home since then. Its been around 5 days now. Have to take 4 tablets, everyday for 5 days. Of course there's itching, but it starts only from the third day. Never scratch even if you feel as if you are going to die of the itch. Sleeping and bathing helps.. so that's what I am doing throughout the day. :)

The only silver lining is that now I'm immune to the virus for life long. this is also a 95% probability.
